The Pistol River Wave Bash is here in Gold Beach from June 17th to the 20th, 2010 and it will be at the Pistol River State Park. The wind tribe was so overdue for a gathering and where could be better than that notoriously windy stretch of beach at Pistol River? Perfect timing this year because of the classic wave sailing conditions on the south coast of Oregon. The sailing season is in full swing.

Schedule of this weeks events

Wave Train – Performing at the Fairgrounds
From: 8-10 pm

Wave Train will be featuring competitor Mark Johnstone of Maui, Judge Darren Rogers, and Competitor Kai Katchadourian

If you are attending, you should arrive to the Curry County Fairgrounds to check in at the Dakine tent between 5-6pm. If you are unable to check in at that time, and plan on competing, please send notification…

If you are camping Curry County Fairgrounds, it is included for registered competitors. All others will be $7/night/person. If you would prefer to stay at a hotel, please see the lodging page on pistolriverwavebash.com for discounted rates in the area.

There is alsoa contest for the event which is judged on wave riding, jumping and overall impression.

The rules for the contest are the same exact rules we should live by:

  • Be courteous when you win and dignified when you loose
  • Always have fun
  • Respect others
  • Be humble
